Sales Engineer, Owner and Consulting Engineers

The Sales Engineer is responsible for working directly with Owners and Consulting Engineers to provide design assistance and technical support. Additionally, the Sales Engineer will interface with our world-class manufacturers to support the design efforts of the Consulting Engineering community and Owner’s HVAC system needs. Compensation for this position provides for a base salary plus the opportunity for bonuses based on individual and overall company performance

Primary Responsibilities
  • Working with Owners and Consulting Engineers to develop an outstanding working relationship of trust and technical competence.
  • Interface with Estimating and Commercial, Industrial and Control Sales Engineers to coordinate project opportunities.
  • Responding to Owner and Engineer requests for design assistance, design analysis and budget pricing.
  • Working with Owners and Consulting Engineers to create a preference for the Company’s products and services.
  • Working with internal and external marketing folks to promote the Company’s products and systems.
  • Coordinating sales and marketing efforts with our Manufacturers.
Key Qualifications/Skills
  • Technical or College degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HVAC experience interfacing directly with Owners, Engineers and/or Contractors.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

Sales Support Specialist

The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for interfacing directly with customers and manufacturing partners to handle order issues, process orders, and provide information about Pittsburgh Air System’s products and services. This role is excellent preparation for growing within the company. You will gain the necessary skills to pursue positions as a Technical Sales Support Specialist, Product Champion, or Sales Engineer.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responds to and resolves customer requests including processing orders, requests for pricing, product availability, delivery, billing questions as well as returns and cancellations
  • Answers product or service inquiries and assists customers with both technical and non-technical questions
  • Enter, track and expedite customer order
  • Works with other departments within Pittsburgh Air Systems and with our Suppliers to find solutions for both internal and external customers
  • Follows established service quality standards and meets established processing times and follow-up actions in accordance with departmental standards
Key Qualifications/Skills:
  • High school diploma; Technical or College degree preferred
  • 1 Year of experience interfacing directly with customers in a professional office environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to details
  • Work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with HVAC products and technical aptitude a plus
